Last Message of Summer Camp

Bro. Mik has given his all into this camp and it is evident. He is
right now preaching from the book Nehemiah. It sounds like it is going
to be about the mercy of God.

Breakfast is finished, campers belongings are packed, singing is beginning

Last Night

Its been an awesome day, but quite quite busy. Its 12 oclock and
lights are finally off (not flashlights). They are making up stories
with shadow puppets on the wall. Who knows why they can't just go to
bed :) Maybe because of all the mountain dew. :)

I told the kid beside me to spit out his gum because I didn't want it
in his hair, so he showed me his gum on his tongue and said, "You see
it now, now you don't" and swolled the gum.... Maybe you like to
swallow your gum, but that's definitely not me.

ok, I had a great time sharing and telling testimonies with the guys
tonight. All of the guys in my cabin are from New Testament Baptist
and Cornerstone Baptist. It was great to meet them, I hope these guys
are serious about making the changes they mentioned.

Please pray for your teens to follow through on the choices they've
made. There were a number of testimonies shared at the end of the
service, but I've known many many teens share great testimonies and
not change help encourage them along in their choices.

The message tonightvwas calls Fake Faith. The main text was Luke 18.
It is very easy for a teen to want to live a "lazy" Christian life
without standards. They think they can get the best of both worlds. As
you know, its one path or the other. A fake faith is not what Christ
wants and its not what others want either. God doesn't want luke warm
Christians. Just a thought of mine. What is a luke-warm Christian? A
disobedient servant. You either serve Christ or the devil, you cannot
serve two masters.

Water fight

Ok, there was just a water. Fight to get the shaving cream off of the
face of the opposite captains for the guys. I was playing and
obviously didn't want to rinse my phone in water :) if you can picture
boys running all over tackling, water flying all over, guys
yelling...etc. You got the idea.

For all mothers reading this... Nobody got hurt :) going swimming now

Good morning! Starting team devotions for Thursday

End of Day #3

Lights out is finally here. Its 11:30 and the guys are all breaking
out the tereoki (spg?) jerky for the night and shining laser lights
and flashlights around the room. Ya, I'm sure your thinking the same
thing I am.....Why? :)

Many of the boys have been very motivated to memorize the daily memory
verses. The campers are given 13 verses each day and some have worked
very diligently to complete the list each day. The team spirits were
very high and competitive.

The messge tonight was about the "Ministry of the servant" the
conclusion came down to this thought... "Is the response fulfilled?"
Are you serving Christ, if so have you fulfilled his command.
Otherwise you are NOT being a faithful servant. The testimonies by
Jeremy and Emily were very challenging to the teens and their
attention seemed to be very keen and focused. Almost all the teens
went forward and a number of them shared good personal applications of
how God spoke to them.

I still really feel that God wants to do some more good things here.
Pray that the teens will be serious.

Tomorrow I believe there will be fireworks and such for the kids to
remember our independence.

Once again I'm exhausted. I hope that ya'll enjoy the updates. Feel

Emily Rogers

I'm sorry I forgot to take a picture, but emily rogers shared her
testimony to the teens and it was very moving and was very very
applicable to all the teens. The message is now beginning in Mark
8:33. It sounds like it will be about giving yourself wholly to God.
